PRESIO

Our story

Pro recovery, without the pro budget

A family business, founded by Harry Macaffrey and run with his wife Maria.

Who

I’ve never made a living from sport. I did it because I loved it: midweek runs, a marathon every autumn, fitted around a full-time job. PRESIO was founded in 2021 in Manchester, and it’s still run by a team small enough that the person answering your emails has worn every model.

Post-session recovery

Why

The hard part was the day after. Stiff legs on the stairs, sessions skipped because the last one hadn’t settled. The pros I followed had a physio, a recovery room and those long inflatable boots you see in every changing-room photo. Twice I got as far as the checkout, and twice I closed the tab: a price built for a club budget, or alternatives sold on promises nobody could verify. I was convinced a serious amateur deserved a professional’s evening routine — without a sponsor to pay for it.

How

So I did what an amateur does. I ordered compression systems, tested them on my own legs, sent some back, and wrote to the factories with questions they weren’t expecting from a buyer. Today, our systems are made in England, at our own factory in Manchester. For each of our three models we publish the numbers that matter: pressure range, pump noise, weight and warranty. Every kit ships with a colour-screen controller you can work one-handed, a remote and a carry bag — so the whole routine happens from your sofa.

Who it’s for

You train hard several times a week, around a job and a life — and you want Monday’s session to stop deciding whether Wednesday’s happens.
